Update is splitted in two part because of a kernel update to accomodate free space limitation.
1.4.19 contain some packages updates, most notabily a dnsmasq update to be immune on recent dns advisory.
1.4.20 install the second part of the kernel update and configure the new kernel.
1.4.19 could be installed separately from 1.4.20. A reboot is not needed after 1.4.19 installation.
Concerning the dns issue, see more details in
http://www.heise-online.co.uk/news/DNS-security-problem-details-released–/111145
It is very likely anyone need to a patch without waiting and our is in 1.4.19 for
dnsmasq.
The dns server you use need to be patched too or you may switch to opendns.
You need to reboot to use the new kernel after 1.4.20 installation.

Hmm starting from Gutsy my Wifi LED wont works … now after i read from the ThinkWiki .. what i read from it was The LED is not implemented at least in the IWL4965 driver. How ever, As an alternative, you can install a backported IWL4965 driver that may fix the LED problem on your system.
To active WiFi LED,
sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-hardy
Now, my Wifi LED lighted beside the bluetooth icon !!! yeay !!!

Don’t know what to do today so i decide to try out the nagios2 in hardy, so what should i do is :-
$ sudo apt-get install nagios2 nagios-plugins-basic nagios-plugins-standard nagios-plugins nagios-plugins-extra nagios-snmp-plugins nagios-images
wait until all the installation done, your nagios2 can be view by http://localhost/nagios2/ but u may find that u can’t login because u have set the username n password. So lets solve it by doing
$ sudo htpasswd -c /etc/nagios2/htpasswd.users nagiosadmin
its because the auth file need to be create since the nagios configuration file stated in /etc/apache2/conf.d/nagios2.conf
So hope u guys may tried it since its quite a good tools for monitoring the networks .. Good Luck & hepi playing with the nagios.cfg !!

Hmm … today im quite bz settling the downtime of mini DC @ office … while meeting with partners n trying to send and email .. i got an error from evolution saying unknown host with my smtp … i wonder y .. then i straightly check and the line (streamyx) down !!! … estimated start down @ 11.45 am ..
I have to rushing back to office to settle it … while checking & troubleshoot … the causes is from the MODeM/router … ADSL light blinking … then make a report to STREAMYX … what a shock that the operator said that technician will visit the case on the next day business hour while its very critical time to wait .. while all the server DOWN .. thanks god that got person (supervisor) @ streamyx bandar baru ampang branch – En. Wan Ismail that willing to help me out by referring the case/docket to streamyx keramat branch …
Then i have to alternate using the backup streamyx line to back ONLINE .. but even though got ONLINE .. but all the DMZ still down as well until technician streamyx came and change the modem then everything back to normal mode @ 6.00pm ….
